Even though I’ve been almost annoyed with Wes Anderson lately for spawning so many wannabe films and filmmakers over the past decade, I’ve got to admit that this trailer got me pretty excited. Why?

1. The movie was filmed in Rhode Island, my former stomping grounds. Well, not exactly my stomping grounds per se, since it was filmed outside of Newport and I grew up north of Providence, but still. It’s good to see RI getting some action.

2. Is it just me, or does the trailer feel like Wes Anderson got his groove back? Some might say he never lost his groove. I just felt like The Darjeeling Limited was too slow and missing something, and The Fantastic Mr. Fox took almost too long to put out even though it was great.

3. Hopefully this movie will put to rest at least some of the shitty Wes Anderson rip-offs.
